AI is moving fast, and so is the need for clear governance. That’s why we’ve teamed up with Yields to help organisations turn AI principles into practice.
With our customer itsme®, the trusted digital identity provider, we’ve already shown how combining expertise and technology can make responsible AI work in the real world.
Bridging the gap between innovation and accountability
AI adoption is accelerating faster than governance frameworks can evolve. Organisations want to innovate, but they also need to ensure that AI systems are transparent, fair, and compliant with emerging regulation such as the EU AI Act.
That tension between innovation and accountability is exactly where Yields and Approach Cyber come together. We believe AI governance should not slow progress but guide it. It turns regulation into structure, and structure into trust
Technology meets expertise
While Yields provides the AI governance technology to assess, monitor, and document AI systems in line with the EU AI Act, Approach Cyber brings the governance and cyber security expertise that helps teams embed these practices into daily operations through workshops, training, and process integration.
Together, we turn governance from a one-time compliance exercise into a continuous capability.
This joint approach helps organisations identify their AI use cases and risks, align governance with their structure and KPIs, and ensure that controls stay effective as their AI capabilities grow.
First joint project: itsme®
The partnership came to life through an AI Governance Fast Track program at itsme®, a hands-on initiative designed to help organisations quickly understand their AI landscape and governance needs. During the program, we worked with itsme®’s teams to identify high-risk AI applications, assess governance maturity, and prepare for upcoming regulation such as the EU AI Act.
Olaf Jonkers, CISO / Scheme Manager @ itsme® DigitalID:
“The initial Fast Track workshops with Yields and Approach were a real eye-opener, even though we were already digging into the AI Act requirements ourselves: AI governance isn’t just about ticking compliance boxes, it’s about managing genuine business risk. The Yields AI Governance platform assisted us in identifying hidden risks in the AI systems we already use in HR and other processes, including regular business applications. Going forward, deploying a governance platform explicitly addressing AI Compliance like Yields will be essential for managing AI responsibly and at scale, while ensuring compliance with the EU AI Act.”
Building the next phase
Following the Fast Track, itsme® is developing a long-term approach to strengthen and scale AI governance across the organisation.
The focus is on embedding governance into existing structures and decision-making processes, ensuring that AI innovation continues in a controlled and transparent way.
By combining clear accountability with a culture of continuous improvement, itsme® is building the foundations for responsible AI that grows with the organisation.
Partner perspectives
Both teams agree that the collaboration between Yields and Approach Cyber goes beyond compliance. It is about helping organisations make AI governance part of how they innovate and make decisions.
Jean-Charles Hubert, Team Lead @ Approach Cyber:
“This collaboration shows how governance can become a business enabler when supported by the right tools. Together with Yields, we help organisations like itsme® turn regulation into a framework for responsible innovation.”
From the Yields side, the project also confirms how the right platform can make complex governance processes practical and transparent.
Jos Gheerardyn, CEO @ Yields.io:
“Our partnership with Approach Cyber brings together practical expertise and purpose-built technology. The work with itsme® shows what responsible AI looks like in practice.”
Looking ahead
Through this partnership, Yields and Approach Cyber help organisations turn AI governance into something that works in reality, not just on paper. By combining consultancy and technology, teams can manage risk, build transparency, and stay aligned with evolving regulation while keeping innovation on track.
Responsible AI begins with governance that works.
